Bandcamp Friday - plus CDs on sale again!
Today is an exciting day for independent musicians like me. It is Bandcamp Friday, and so today (until midnight), every single penny you spend at the Alun Parry Bandcamp store will go to me. Yay!
Isn’t this a lot different to the exploitative model of Spotify who keep virtually everything for themselves and their venture capitalist friends?
On Bandcamp Friday, 100 percent of everything that you spend goes to the independent artists you buy from. That’s why I’ve gone all in with Bandcamp.
An added bonus is that all of my CDs are now available again on Bandcamp. The great thing about Bandcamp is that buying the CD gets you the digital download too!
Backstory: I took them down during Covid when we could never get to a post office, and it seems that I forgot to put those old CD titles back up again. So there was no way to buy them unless you caught me at a gig. Oops!
Big thanks to Richard for this, who I met at our recent Atkinson gig in Southport. Richard alerted me to the fact that only a couple of my CDs were available. Now you’re able to get every CD exclusively on Bandcamp. Thanks Richard!! 👍
